"Norman Jackson “Jackie” Jennings, 77, of Jolo, WV passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Jackie was born June 2, 1944, in Welch, WV a son of the late Elden and Hettie Fuller Jennings. He was a yard master for the N&S Railroad. Jackie was a member of the Summit Missionary Baptist Church at Paynesville, WV where he served as a deacon. In addition to his parents Elden and Hattie Jennings, Jackie was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon K. Jennings; three brothers Earl, Oren and Johnny Jennings and one infant brother; and one sister, Hazel Guadargnoli. Survivors include one brother, Everett Jennings of Kansas City, KS; four sisters, Ina Humphery of Abingdon, VA, Janette Bazemore of Aztec, NM, Theo Ortega of Farmington, NM and June Rice of Athens, WV; three special girls, Bre, Court and Ray; a nephew, Martin Rife of Bland, VA; three nieces, Susan Duesing, Tina Rice and Heather Moorehead all of Bland, VA; several great nieces and nephews, numerous neighbors and friends and his fur baby Jade. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 12 o’clock with Reverend Gene Adair and Reverend Michael Tye officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
