King Jr. entered into his Heavenly home June 29, 2021, at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, WV."Jesse was born November 17, 1937, in Iaeger, WV, a son of the late Jesse King Sr. and Frances Roberts King. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church. Jesse enjoyed spending time at his camper and fishing. He also loved to hunt, travel, watch sports, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He was the most humble, kind, and loving man. He absolutely thought the world of his grandson Brandon. He was so proud of the man that Brandon has become; he was the apple of his eye.
"In addition to his parents Jesse was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ann England King; sisters, Suella (Alfred) Blankenship, Lila Murphy, Ruth (Bill) Harless; brothers, Reverend George (Lillian) King, Joe King, and Marvin (Alice) King; and stepdaughter, Melanie (Ronnie) Ferguson.
