Additional Information Posted:
"In August 2017, I located a living Hay descendant; a lawyer, by the name of Kerry Hay. He had a genealogy chart he had done while in high school that he shared with me. He clearly spelled the name "Clete". I include both spellings since the first is how it is spelled in the EJ Sutherland book, "Some Descendants of John Counts of Glade Hollow" and also on his death certificate.

"Clete was the half-brother of my grandfather, Arthur Stewart Counts of Nealy Ridge. He and Clete shared the same mother but different fathers. While looking through photos from my father's collection I came across one with several people I did not recognize; Clete/Cleat and his wife, Pricey Catherine Counts, were two of them. It was only after showing the photo to my newfound cousin, Evonne/Yvonne Counts Artrip (the daughter of Arthur's daughter, Edra Bernice Counts) that they were immediately recognized by her. Now, all those in the photo have been identified thanks to Chad Counts and Evonne/Yvonne Counts Artrip.

"FROM RICHARD HAY:
He married Pricey Catherine Counts on 20 Jun 1912 in Dickenson County, VA.

Dianna Lynn Riffe

1. Stafford Funeral Home; Lynco, WV; Posted Obit.
"Dianna Lynn Talbert, 68, of Oceana, WV, passed away peacefully Earthside with her family by her side and woke up running into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, June 22 at 4:25 PM. In true “preacher’s kid” fashion, Dianna lived life to the fullest, right to the very end. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J.L. and Addie Riffe her sister, Janet “Big Sis” Parsons her brother, Jeff Riffe and her beloved nephews, Shawn and Michael Parsons. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in her children: Jennifer Davis of Huntington Josh Davis and his wife Kelsey (affectionately known as “Kelsey Baby”) of Germantown, OH Blake Parsons and his fiancée Victoria Carter of Oceana and her daughter Alley Lakota Talbert of home. She was a proud and devoted Mamaw to her grandchildren Wesley, Adalynn, and Olyvia—and will now watch over the arrival of her newest grandson, Maddox, from Heaven. Dianna is also survived by her sister, Sherri Dye of Beckley, WV special niece Tiffany Bailey of Beckley, WV, special nephew Jeremy Bailey of Huntington, WV her first baby girl Maria Whited and special “sister” Rita Faye of Falls Mills, VA, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Affectionately known as “Princess Di,” she had a deep love for nature. Her yard was her sanctuary—carefully cultivated from sun up to sun down with flowers, bird feeders, tranquil ponds, and even her own deer pasture. She found joy in watching frogs enjoy her ponds, birds singing at the feeders, and always celebrated the arrival of the first hummingbird each season. She found peace in fishing, tending to her garden, and relaxing with late-night TV. Above all, Dianna treasured her family. Her happiest moments were spent in the warmth of a full house—cooking, sharing stories, and laughing until their stomachs hurt. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, generosity, tireless work ethic, and unshakable faith in love and forgiveness. Proverbs 31:25–28 She is clothed with strength and dignity she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed. In accordance with her wishes, Dianna will be cremated, and a celebration of her beautiful life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a fund being set up for Alley. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV".
