"Barbara Sue Blankenship Cook Belcher, 71, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 11,
2020 at her home. She was born on January 27, 1949 in Man, WV, a daughter of the late Nan Blankenship and
Georgie Ann Bowens Thomas. Barbara was a homemaker and attended the Oceana United Methodist Church. In
addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Garrick Cook and a grandson Jacob Isaiah Franklin.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Roger Dean Belcher; three daughters Nena Cook of
Beckley, Melissa Vance of North Carolina and Treasa Hensley of Oak Hill; six sons Wiley Martin of Mullens, Harry
Cook, Jr. of Maben, Roger Belcher, Jr. of Pineville, Bobby (Barbie) Belcher of Oceana, and Guy Belcher, III and
Kelley Belcher both of Beckley; one sister Audrey Elkins of Gilbert; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday July 15th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home,
Lynco, with Pastor Jeff Green officiating. She will be laid to rest in Thomas's Memorial Cemetery, Gilbert, WV.
Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV"
