He was the son of Lewis Clifford Payne and Linda Sue Rose. He was of the Holiness faith and loved his family and close friends."He was proceeded in death by his parents, Lewis Clifford Payne and Linda Sue Rose. Son, Michael Rose. Brothers, Arnold, Harry, Jerry, and Clifford.

One special sidekick, Jameson Dean Rose. 6 sons, James Jr. and Sara Rose, Donald and Tara Rose, Clifford and Katie Rose, James and Tabby Rose, Carlos and Alex Rose, Allen Rose and Star of Taylorsville, NC. 3 daughters, Crystal and Joe Reeves of Bristol, TN, Amanda Rose, and Tina Rose. One longtime companion and friend, Maxine Rose. 2 Brothers, Lewis Warren Payne and Mary of War, WV, Ronald and Donna Rose. 5 sisters, Annie Rife and Danny of Threeforks, WV. She was born on April 14, 1964 in Sumpter, SC, a daughter of Albert Gwynn Nichols of Welch-Pineville Road and the late Pauline Francis Miller Nichols. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her grandparents Nina and Glen Nichols and Bud and Evelyn Miller, and a granddaughter Olivia Boothe. Survivors include her husband Bud Ray Bailey, three daughters Tanisha and Joshua Waddle of North Tazewell, VA, Megan and Corey Boothe of Huntington and Jessica Nicole Bailey and fiance` Ryan Cook of Glen Fork, two grandchildren Jackson Waddle and Elijah Boothe, two brothers Brian Nichols and Charlotte Eccles of Itmann and John Anthony "Tony" Nichols of Beckley, and a host of other loving family and friends.
