Ruth Marie Muncy

"Ruth Marie Muncy Kiser, age 72 of Bluefield, WV (formerly of Iaeger), was a caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to many. Surrounded by her family, she passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, November 29, 2021. After a long but brave and courageous battle with heart failure, her soul now rests with God. Born November 6, 1949, in Iaeger, WV, she was one of six children and the loving, caring daughter of the late Billy and Arlene Muncy of Iaeger, WV. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Clarence (Dick) Kiser, her daughter’s Ginger Lynn Icenhour and Wendy Michelle Church, sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Raymond Gaminde, and brother Ronald Muncy. Ruth pledged her loyalty and friendship to her children, siblings, and family. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Kim (John) Wilson of Sandstone, WV, son Billy Kiser and Eric Kearns of North Carolina. Granddaughter Amanda (Jason) Jackson of Bluefield, WV, grandson’s Joshua Wilson of Beckley, WV, Tyler Icenhour and companion Lori Grahovac of Tazewell, VA and Nicholas Icenhour of Tazewell, VA. Step-granddaughter Amber (Justin) Snuffer of Beckley, WV and step-grandson Dakota (Brittany) Wilson of Jumping Branch, WV. Great grandsons Bryson Walker, Eli Tilley, and Lincoln Cline. Step-great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Gage and Bailee Lafleur, and Axxel and Amari Wilson. Sister’s Christine Payne of Wytheville, VA, Joyce (Tim) White of Sylacauga, AL, and brother Donald Muncy of Chillicothe, OH, Special Friends Jim and Debbie Dalton of Bluefield, Nancy Shirley and Janet Barbour of Iaeger, WV and Richard and Joyce Kearns of North Carolina. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and her two special fur-babies Willow and Shadow are also left to cherish her memory. Ruth was a 1967 graduate of Iaeger High School and was a lifelong resident of the Iaeger area. Ruth was employed by the Fanning Family for over 25 years. Ruth was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Ruth loved spending time with her family, friends and loved to cook and make people laugh and smile. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, family, friends, and prayer warriors for loving Ruth into heaven. Visitation and services to be held at Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger, WV. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Randall Dority officiating, interment to follow at High Knob Cemetery, Iaeger, WV. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Fanning Funeral Home Iaeger is assisting the Kiser family."


Maude Virginia Turpin

"Maudie Virginia Small, 91 of Thorpe, West Virginia passed away peacefully at her residence, Monday morning, November 1, 2021, with her loving children by her side. She was born November 11, 1929 at Twin Branch, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late James A. Turpin and Minnie Frances Mitchell Turpin.

"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennie Small, 1 son, Dennis Small, 1 granddaughter, Stephanie Harvey, 1 brother, James A. Turpin and 1 sister Nellie Small. Left to cherish her memories are 3 sons, Herman Small of Gary, WV; Fred Small and wife Linda of Princeton, WV; Jeff Small and wife Judy of Gary, WV; 1 daughter, Debbie Harvey and husband, Skip of Rock Creek, WV. One sister, Betty Supanick, Columbus, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

"At her request there will be no services. Entombment will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Bluefield, West Virginia.

Ronnie Ray Gullett

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ronnie Ray Gullett, 76, of Welch, WV. He was a beloved dad, papaw, brother, friend, and faithful servant of God. He was welcomed by his Lord with the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV surrounded by his devoted family by his side.

"Ronnie was an avid fisherman and hunter. He proudly served in the Air Force. Throughout his entire life he exemplified strength, compassion, love, and unwavering faith. He worked for many years for the Department of Highways, but all his life he worked for his family and friends by giving and serving. He never met a stranger, and he impacted lives in so many profound ways. What a wonderful legacy he leaves behind for his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

"He was born October 3, 1949, to Clyde and Garnett Rose Gullett. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Terry Gullett; brother, Bill Gullett; sister, Carol Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews.

"He is survived by his loving companion, Debbie Dillon of Welch, WV; his daughters, Michelle Mullins and husband Brian of Asheboro, NC, Stephanie Cook and husband Johnny of Welch, WV; stepdaughter, Amy Dillon of Bluewell, WV; Grandchildren, Makayla Gullett, Nicholas Mullins, and step grandchildren, Kane and Kleo Harrison. He was also blessed with a great granddaughter, Kylee Church; his brothers, Roger Gullett of Roann, IN, Paul Gullett and wife Carol of Premier, WV, David Gullett and wife Sandra of Davy, WV, and Doug Gullett and wife Chris of Martinsburg, WV; his sisters, Juanita Thomas of Silver Lake, IN, Ruby Short of Princeton, WV, and Barbara England of Pageton, WV.

"Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 6-8 PM at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch, WV.

"Funeral services to honor Ronnie’s life will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11 o’clock at North Welch Church of God in Welch, WV with Pastor Scott Long and Martin West officiating. “It is good to be in the house of the Lord one more time.” Burial will follow in the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield, WV. Military services will be conducted by the VFW Post #1144 of Iaeger, WV and the Air Force Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
