"PAGETON—Our dearly beloved mother, Violet Blankenship Mounts Blankenship Presley, 75, of Box 150 (Skygusty) Pageton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 25, 2002 at her residence after a long illness."Born November 15, 1926, in Hensley, she was a daughter of the late Joda L. Blankenship and Cynthia Bailey Blankenship.
"Mrs. Presley had been a resident of Skygusty for 36 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Regular Baptist Church of the Friendship Association and she was baptized into the Lord 57 years ago. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she loved her church and her many friends.
"In addition to her parents, she ws preceded in death by her first husband, Addison Mounts, her second husband, Glenn Spurlock Blankenship, Jr. and her third husband, Stewart Presley; sons, Acie Clyde Mounts and William Toby Mounts; sister, Pauline Blankenship; and brothers, Cloyd and Lafyette Blankenship.
"She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Elmer Blankenship and wife, Sybil of Sweet Home, Or., Hollie Blankenship and wife, Wilda of Forks, Wa., and Earnest Mounts and wife, Sherry of Northfork; daughers, Grace Justice of Grundy, Va., Betty Hagerman and husband, Roger of Damascus, Va., Velda Dingus and husband, Dwayne of Castlewood, Va., and Sharon Starcher and husband, Ronald of Pageton; sister Geneva Blankenship of Hurley, Va., 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Earnest and Maxine Grubb of Princeton.
