"Woodrow was born April 13, 1938 in Lex, WV, a son of the late William and Josie Nellie Overbee Ferrell. He was a retired coal miner, a great mechanic, and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather."In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Faye Ferrell, two brothers, William Ferrell and Robert Ferrell, and one son, Larry Dean Mullins.
"Survivors include his wife Debra Diane Rose Ferrell of the home; eight daughters, Lois Riffe and husband Stan of Belleview, FL, Hopie Gillespie and husband Mike of Grafton, VA, Patricia Riffe and husband Andrew, Debra Adams, Molly Horn and husband Mark, and Lisa Owens and husband Ronnie Gene all of North Tazewell, VA, Barbara Crigger and Husband Jimmy John of Ritter, WV, and Rosie Moore and husband Christopher of Yukon #2; five sons, Bobby Ferrell and wife Loraine of North Tazewell, Roger Ferrell and wife Michelle of South Carolina, Stevie Ferrell and fiancée Michelle of Ocela,FL, Woodrow Ferrell Jr., and Christopher Blankenship and wife Dorothy all of North Tazewell, VA; 23 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Jones of Avondale, WV, and Mary Mullins of Davy, WV; three brothers, Lee Ferrell of Raysal, Clarance Ferrell of Avondale, and Homer Ferrell of Indiana."Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 11 o’clock, with Reverend Roger Hale, Reverend Edger Mullins and Reverend Lawrence Cantrell officiating at the Atwell Mountain United Church of God near Atwell, WV.
