"Herbert “Butch” Edward Robinette, 85, of Iaeger, WV passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his daughter’s home in Princeton, WV."Butch was born July 1, 1939 in Iaeger, WV a son of the late Earnest and Mary Jennings Robinette. While attending Iaeger High School, Butch was a star player on both the football and basketball teams. He was a dedicated sports fan of WVU football and basketball. Butch was the owner and operator of T & L Archery, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a founding member of the Two Rivers Conservation Club.
"In addition to his parents, Butch is preceded in death by his wife, Louise “Lou” D. Robinette; a sister, Retha Hundley and her husband Dick; and a niece Pam Zandlo.
"Survivors include one daughter, Theda Muth of Princeton, WV; a granddaughter, Tesia Abrenica and husband Michael of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Sue Deese and husband Bruce of Chicago, IL and Tina Owens of Iaeger; one brother Buck Robinette and wife Lisa of Matoka, WV, and five nieces and nephews, Jimmy Owens, Mark Hundley, Renee Hundley, Paul Zandlo, and Mary Jane Carlos.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1 o’clock with Reverend Danny Bowles officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery at Roderfield. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Louise was born March 2, 1940, in Charlottesville, VA, a daughter of the late Clyde and Ella Campbell.'She was a retired Teacher's Aide for the McDowell County Board of Education. She had a heart of gold and touched the hearts of many students during her career. Louise was a Christian and attended the Calvary Baptist Church.
'She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Bowden; and four brothers, June, Gene, Charlie, and Ed Campbell.
