"Luther was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County and a member of Rock Castle Baptist Church. He was a disabled miner from U.S. Steel and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and woodworking.
"Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Green Tipton Baugh of the home; three sons, Kevin Cook, Jamie Tipton and his wife, Tabetha, and John Tipton, all of Pineville; four brothers, William Ed Baugh of Taylor, Mich., Walter Baugh and his wife, Francis, of Pilot Mountain, NC, Roy Baugh and his wife, Ruth Ann, of North Newburg, ND, and Paul Kenney and his wife, Ruby, of Pineville; two sisters, Edna Davis and her husband, Phillip, of Beckley and Kay Lambert and her husband, Dallie, of Pineville; and a special granddaughter, Brooke "Teapot" Tipton.
