"Johnnie Eugene Beavers, Sr., 56, of Jolo, WV, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015, at the home of his son in Grundy, VA."Johnnie was born August 14, 1959 in Welch, WV, a son of the late Clarence Emory and Ida Baker Beavers. He worked for Johnny Eller and Bill Salter as a mechanic at their gas station in Jolo, WV, before becoming an EMT in 1990 and later a Paramedic in 1995. He served 20 plus years in the medical field. He worked for McDowell County Ambulance Authority, Southern WV EMS and numerous other ambulance companies. His passions were his sons, motorcycles, old cars, wood working, and Nascar, Bill Elliot being his favorite driver. Johnnie also liked to fish and hunt with a bow. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and recently became saved.
"In addition to his parents Johnnie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Preacher Andrew (Andy) Baker and Cloia Baker and step grandmother Siller Baker, paternal grandparents, James Robert Beavers and Rosa Marie McCoy Beavers, and two brothers-in-law, Vester Vance and Bill Webb.
