"Eugene was a lifelong Mechanic and lived most of his life in West Virginia. He was always proud of his State and his community. He dearly loved his family and all his many friends with his whole heart, and he is going to be greatly missed by everyone.

"Along with his mother, he is survived by one sister, Deborah L. Price Bradford (Melvin Bradford) of Lucasville, OH; a son, Tyler E. Price, a daughter, Taylor R. Price, and grandson, Elijah Blake Reublin all of Trinity, NC; a nephew, Eric L. (Stacy) Bowman of Princeton, WV; and a niece, Cynthia F. Bowman of Inglis, FL.

"KEYROCK — Milton "Tom" Borders, 73, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.

"Born Nov. 5, 1936, at Pineville, he was the son of the late John Grant Borders Sr. (1913-2000) and Rhoda "Carmen" Preston-Borders (1914-1993).

"Mr. Borders was a member of the Rock Castle Baptist Church and retired from Chrysler Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. He enjoyed working on cars, NASCAR, car shows and going to church.

"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Borders-Power (Deceased).

"Survivors include his wife Geraldine Rogal-Borders of the home; a son, Milton Thomas Borders Jr. of Sidney, Ohio; two daughters, Roxanne Borders-Sheppard and her husband, Maynard, of Hamilton, Ohio and Patricia Borders of the home; three brothers, Lindsey Borders and his wife, Vicki, of Lynchburg, Va., John Grant Borders Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Kopperston and Paul Arthur Borders and his wife, Karen, of Beckley; three sisters, Daisy Bell Borders-Peters and her husband, Elmer, of Chesapeake, Beulah Jean Borders (1942-2016) of New Richmond, and Roxie May Borders-Vada and her husband, Jay, of Carrollton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

"He was born on January 20, 1954, in Welch, West Virginia to Charles and Fannie (Smith) Evans. Allen married the love of his life, Sherri Snowgold, on July 6, 1974, in Ypsilanti, Michigan after his graduation from Willow Run High School, class of 1972. He will be remembered as a kind, caring person that loved to cook. Allen loved his family, his children, his grandchildren and especially his cats. He was very proud of his West Virginian heritage and had a strong faith in his Lord. Allen enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting in his early years, but found peace in gardening and feeding the birds. He retired after 24 years with GM at the Willow Run Hydromatic Plant. He will greatly be missed by his loving family and friends.

"John Henry Mullins, Jr. (Popaw to most) left the cares of this world behind on Saturday, January 16, 2016. John Henry was born in Jolo, West Virginia on June 18, 1923 to the late John Henry Mullins, Sr. and the late Pricy Rife. He is a Navy Veteran of WWII. In 1945 he married the love of his life, Bernice Elizabeth Cordle. He went on to become a coal miner in Grundy, VA before moving on to the construction industry. He continued in this field until his retirement in Cumberland, VA. There he enjoyed his love of game chickens, western movies, and classic country and gospel music.

"John Henry was preceded in death by his brothers; Steward, Denny, Hubert, and Thurman, and his sisters; Goldie, Clara, and Ruby Mullins.

"He is survived by his sisters Oakie and Shirley. He is also survived by his bride of 71 years, Bernice Elizabeth Mullins and their children; Carl (Buck) Mullins, Judith Willis, Sandra Holt, John Mullins, David Mullins, James (Tony) Mullins and Angela Gaines. Popaw was blessed with 17 grandchildren; Patricia Thompson, Pamela Mullins, Angela Gaines, Alvin Mullins, Billie Jo Copeland, Rhonda Griffin, Sonja Wood, John Wood, Sharon Gilbert, Genia Gilbert, Kim Adams, John Mullins II., Jason Mullins, Melissa Griffey, Marci Howard, Logan Swanson, and James Mullins, Jr. John Henry leaves behind over 40 great grandchildren, and 10 great, great grandchildren as well as a dear friend and caregiver, Cheyenne Marion. "BLUEFIELD — Minor McConnell "Spud" Hancock Jr., 84, of 1000 Heatherwood Road, Bluefield, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at Westwood Health Care Center.

"Born in Bluefield on June 1, 1922, he was the son of the late Minor McConnell Hancock Sr. and Louise O'Brien Hancock. He spent his early years in Kyle and graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1940. He spent a year at the Greenbrier Military Academy and attended VPI. He served as sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, with active duty in the Philippines. After the war, he worked briefly as a coal mine superintendent, and then became a sales representative for Cross Sales and Engineering of Greensboro, N.C. He retired in 1982.

"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Glenn who died in 1958.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gay Wygal Hancock; one son, Laurence W. Hancock and his wife Beth Sears of Ravenswood; one daughter, Kathryn Hancock of Asheville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tom, Anne and Rebecca Hancock.
