"Published: The Charleston Daily Mail, Tuesday, August 14, 1962"Thomas Alvah Devitt, 37, of Charleston Rt. 6, died yesterday at his home after a long illness.
"Mr. Devitt, formerly of Columbus, had lived here three years.
"He had worked for the Ohio Valley Baking Company at Nitro and the Dutch Oven Bakery here.
"Mr. Devitt was a veteran of World War II.
"Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; two sons, Jay and Francis at home; a daughter, Donna at home; a step-daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Lilly of Germany; two brothers, Frances of Chicago and Kenneth of Barnesville, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Patterson and Mrs. Gertrude D'Aguirre of Tampa, Florida and Mrs. Genevieve Smith of Columbus, and one grandchild.

"Rabbit is survived by his loving family, wife of 41 years, Sue Devitt; daughter, Elissia Jarrell; granddaughters, Chasity, Shiana and Addison; sister, Donna Haynes; brother-in-law, Roger Haynes; nieces, Charlotte, Heather, Angie, Missy; nephews, Charlie, Thomas, Cody and his beloved dog, Rudy.
