Dobb proudly served as a Marine Sergeant in WWII and was a member of VFW Post 1144 and American Legion Post 0175. Dobb was a retired coal miner having worked as a coal mine operator for many years. He was a member of Garland Church of the Living God and loved football. Dobb took great pride in helping with the Little Cubs Little League and rooting for WVU. He loved to get out in the community; sharing stories and helping others when he could, never meeting a stranger and a friend to all.
