"Jesse Edward Younger, “Worsome” 91, of Kyle, WV passed away Saturday, October 03, 2020 at his home in Elkhorn , WV. Born June 07, 1929 in Kyle, WV he was the son of the late David Younger and Georgia Oaks Younger."Jesse was a United States Army Veteran who served in the 43rd Division, Germany. He was employed for several years with the coal mining industry and also the city of Northfork, WV.
"Other than his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Younger. Two sisters, Della and Barbara Younger and his first wife, Inez Younger.
"Jesse is survived by , his wife of 18 years, Betty Powell Younger. Two brothers, James Younger of New York. William Younger of Northfork, WV. Four daughters , Marlene Norfleet of Bluefield, WV. Jessie Younger of Maybeury, WV. Mary (Ricky) Harmon of Maybeury, WV. Stepdaughters, Kim (Henry) Wynter of Stockbridge, GA and Kalista Andrews of New York. Grandsons, Jeffrey (Dawn) Younger of Nova Scotia, Canada. Nii Kai Norfleet of Bluefield, WV. Terrana Norfleet of Charlotte, NC. Great-grandsons, Kwyon and Paris Norfleet of Princeton, WV. Kamase Norfleet of Princeton, WV. Nefuan Carrington of Beckley, WV. Khovin and Kala Younger of Nova Scotia, Canada. Xadyk Cannady, Chiron Cannady and Winston Dehart, IV all of Princeton, WV. Two adopted daughters, Gwen Redd and Kenya Mitchell. Special family The Spencers as well as a host of other family an d friends.
"A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Mt Chapel Baptist Church Keystone, WV beginning at 12: Noon with Rev. Kenneth Brown, Elder John Hale and Pastor Timothy Hairston officiating. Burial will follow at Rest lawn Memorial Gardens Route 20 Bluefield, WV with Military Honors by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call from 11: AM until the hour of service.(Social Distancing Enforced) (Mask Are Required). Pallbearers and flower- bearers will be family and friends.
