He was born on June 14, 1965 in Welch, WV a son of Charlotte Barber Marushia of Twin Branch and the late Richard David Marushia, Sr. Richard was an employee of the McDowell County Board of Education. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son Richard David Marushia, III, a grandson Chandler David Jarron Marushia, a brother Michael Joey Marushia, a sister Tina Marie Marushia, paternal grandparents Joe and Blanche Marushia, and maternal grandparents Hellen Odum and Vincent Barber. In addition to his mother, survivors include a son Jeremy (Chrissy) Marushia of Pineville, three sisters Kim Dotson of Twin Branch, Lisa Marushia of Princeton, and Misty Marushia of Bluefield, five grandchildren Connor, Charleigh, Carson, and Christian Marushia of Pineville and Cameron Marushia of Chicago, IL, a special nephew Tyler Biermann of Princeton, special companion Leoma Dobbs of Premier, and a host of other loving family and friends.
