"James Alden Cook, 55, of Welch Pineville Road, WV went to his final resting place until the Lord returns on December 14, 2021 at Welch Community Hospital, Welch, WV. He was born on March 7, 1966 in Welch, WV a son of John W. and Patricia A. Nierman Cook of Roderfield, WV. James loved his family with all his heart especially his babies and grandbabies, and tried to show love to everyone. He enjoyed being with family and friends, going fishing, hunting and watching fireworks with his family on the 4th of July. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Tamplin Eugene and Lucille Virginia Nierman, and Rev. Loran Alden and Elsie Mae Cook a brother Randy Ray Cook a nephew and a great niece. In addition to his parents survivors include his wife of over six years Angela Lyons Cook his three daughters Ellen Aldena Cook, Kayla Leann Cook Clark both of Welch, and Isabella Cook of Roderfield step children Rebeckah Hall of Pineville, Kenneth Hall of Welch, and Thomas Hall of Charleston grandchildren Jasmin, Aberdean, James, Harvey, Axel and Olivia Lester all of Welch three sisters Virginia Cook of NC, Patricia (Matthew) Hatfield of Welch, and Judy Walls of Baileysville two brothers John (Rose) Cook of Roderfield, and Charles (Janie) Cook of Tamcliff and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Darrell Stapleton officiating. He will be laid to rest in Cook - Walls Cemetery, White Oak, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Edward R. Cox, Chuck Massy, Cody Justus, John Cox, William Lambert and John Patrick. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
