"Steven Wayne Morgan, 69, of Saulsville, WV passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born on January 15, 1957 in Pineville, WV, a son of the late Sherman and Gladys Lusk Morgan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children Morgan Joshua Morgan and Stephanie “Stevie Joe” McClosky. Steve was a great man, to know him was to love him. He was a proud West Virginia Coal Miner and loved hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed gardening but, most of all, he loved his family. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Penny Harper Morgan of Saulsville, his children, son Joshua Harper and wife Ashley of Dublin, VA, daughter Kayla Hall of Pineville, and son-in-law Michael McClosky, sister Karen Gibson and husband Ledford of Crouse, NC, brothers Michael Morgan of Crouse, NC and Donald Morgan and wife Joyce of Maiden, NC, his grandchildren Bryleigh, Matthew, Addison, Chloe, Marcia, Levi, Kennadi, Brinlyn, Aspen, and Jordan and his wife Montana, a great-granddaughter Ryleigh, and a host of other loving family and friends.
