"Billy Ray Parker, 68, of Cucumber WV left the earth to make Heaven his home on August 20, 2025, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and his beloved dog Jake."He was born on March 1, 1957 to the late Claude and Katherine Parker in Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ronald and Doug Parker; one daughter Joey Renee Parker; former wife and mother of his children Linda Joyce Parker."Billy was a retired Coal Miner making most of his career at Amonate 31 Consolidate Coal Company. He was also a member of the local UMWA. He was married to the love of his life Jeannie Parker spending over 30 years together.
"Billy loved the Lord, was an avid hunter, enjoyed building classic cars and spending time with his family. Billy was always teaching the younger generation how to work on cars, carpentry and making sure anyone whom he talked to got some of his wisdom and knowledge.
"Billy is survived by his wife Jeannie, 2 children Billy Joe Parker and wife Carmella of Panther WV, daughter, Chasity Juanita Parker and Fiancé Rick of North Dighton MA, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings one sister, Goldie and husband Steve of Tazewell, VA and one brother, Allen Parker of Vermilion, OH.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM from the Berwind Pentecostal Church in Berwind with the Pastor Randy Campbell, officiating. Burial will follow in the Parker Cemetery in Big Creek Hollow.
