"Juanita Kathleen Rose Amos, 100, of Princeton died Monday, June 1, 2020 at her residence.
Born May 22, 1920 in Iaeger, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Matthew Day and Pearl Lee Day Rose. Stepfather was Reuben Rose."Juanita was formerly a salesperson for ACME Supermarket for 21 years and had worked in the Georgia Shipyards during World War II. She was a Princeton Community Hospital volunteer for 21 years working in the gift shop. Juanita was a member of Princeton Church of God and was an avid Elvis Presley gospel fan. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1965, moving here from McDowell County.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenna Amos, Sr; sons, William Joseph Staley and Charles Kenna Amos, Jr.; grandsons, William Brackman Staley and Alec Reuben Staley; brother James Day Rose; sisters, Ruby Rose Pasty, Ruth Rose, and Glenna Rose.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Celeste Staley and David John Jeffries; Ryann and Doug Bayless and children Beau, Jack, Holden, Grant and Evie; Bridget and John Britton and daughter June Rose; Joseph Staley, and Matthew Staley; her feline companion of 12 years, Callie Mae; sister, Maxine Perky; special sister-in-law, Irene Rose; neighbors, Jerry and Susie Novell, and Diane Forbes; her primary caregiver, Sarah Wynn; additional caregivers, Iris Eller, Rena Finley, Juanita Howard and Mary Farley; and very special hospice workers, Sherry Lusk and Melissa Bennett and her sons, Waylon and Brayden Carr."A service to celebrate Juanita's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Mike Rose and Reverend Jerry Novell officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour Friday."

"Billy Joe Morgan, 72, of Premier, WV, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at Welch Community Hospital in Welch. Born August 29, 1951 in Welch, he was the son of the late Verlin Elmer Morgan and Alice Demona West Morgan."Billy was a coal miner and like working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Morgan and one daughter, Tara Lynette Morgan."Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Phyllis Runyon Morgan of the home; two sons, Charlie Joe Morgan and Ashley of Iaeger and Timothy Morgan of Premier; one daughter, Belinda Adams of Premier; two brothers, Teddy E.
