"Johnny Clinton Dorton, 70, of Jolo, WV, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV.
"Johnny was born September 27, 1942, in Kingsport, TN, a son of the late Lester Clyde and Nila Margaret Bowen Dorton. He was a security officer and of the Baptist Faith.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Dean and two brothers, Lester Droton, Jr. and Jackie Lynn Dorton.
"Survivors include one daughter, Nila Rhoton and husband Jeff of Jonesville, VA; two grandchildren, John Wesley Rhoton and Kayla Rhoton both of Jonesville, VA; five brothers, Ronnie Dorton and wife Jean of Yuma, VA, David Dorton and wife Cindy of Gate City, VA, Frank Dorton of Richlands, VA, Richard Dorton of Kingsport, TN, and Bobby Dorton and wife Sheila also of Kingsport, TN; five sisters, Gail Huff and husband Jon of Fort Wayne, IN, Pat Hubble of Salem, VA, Helen McClellan of Wardensville, WV, Carol Sproles and husband David of Kingsport, TN, Betty Ketron and husband Joe of Kingsport, TN; and his soul mate Nettie Thornsbury of Jolo, WV.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 1 o’clock, with Reverend Edgar Mullins officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Ball Cemetery in Oozley Hollow near Bradshaw, WV. ..."
