Born May 3, 1938, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John and Oma Prater Dotson. She was a resident of Big Sandy for the greater part of her life, and she was of the Baptist faith.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her companion Robert Estep, one son Johnny Keaton, one granddaughter, Heather Lester, one son in law, Bob Young, five brothers, Jerry, Hanvil, Sam, George, and Clark Dotson, and two sisters, Stellie Rose and Maudie Lester.

"Audrey Blevins Simpkins, 84, of Welch, WV, formerly of the Jolo area passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV."Audrey was born July 16, 1931, in Atwell, WV, a daughter of the late Robert and Elma Gross Blevins. She was a homemaker, an Emergency Medical Technician and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. Audrey was the mother of seven children, Joetta, Irene, Delilah, Wade Allen, Andy Ray, Ira Roosevelt, and Michael Dean.
'In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tolbert I. Simpkins, a son, Michael D. Simpkins, one sister, Delilah Payne, three brothers, Nathan Blevins, Sr., Oliver Blevins, and Hubert Blevins, and two grandsons, Tolbert A. Roberts, and Ruben J. Jones.
