"Dora Ann Greer Bailey, 78, of Ravencliff, WV gained her angel wings on February 1, 2020 at her home. She was
born on March 13, 1941 in Saxton, WV a daughter of the late Oren and Lorena Elswick Greer. Dora was a loving
mother and grandmother to all. and the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her parents she is
preceded in death by her husband Carlos Pip Bailey; two daughters Betty and Teresa; four sons Carlos Jr., Mike,
Anthony and Frankie; six sisters Delores, Fredia, Viller, Wrene, Rose and Martha; two brothers Phillip and Billy.
Those left to cherish her are two daughters Tammy Sizemore of Ravencliff and Betsy Sizemore of Glen Rogers;
two sons Timmy (Donna) Bailey and Kevin (Cathy) all of Ravencliff; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren;
and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday February 7th at the
Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Ravencliff, WV with Rev. Ernest Francis, III officiating. She will be laid to
rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ravencliff, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of services
on Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Terry Kevin, Matt, Scott, Jake, Greg, Chris and David. The family is

"Michael J. Bailey, 49, of Ravencliff, WV, lost his battle to cancer on April 28, 2015 in Ruby Memorial
Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 23, 1966 a son of Dora Bailey of Ravencliff and the
late Carlos "Pip" Bailey. Mike enjoyed gardening, watching football and wrestling, talking on his CB and
taking care of his chickens. He also loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his father
he is preceded in death by two sisters Betty Bailey and Tearsa Bailey; two brothers Frankie Bailey and
Anthony Bailey; both his maternal and paternal grandparents; and a niece Tabitha Bailey Gwyn.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. In addition to his mother those left to cherish his memory are two
sisters Tammy Sizemore and Betsy Sizemore and her husband Pete; three brothers Carlos Bailey and his
wife Diana and Timmy Bailey and his fiance Donna and Kevin "Boo" Bailey and his wife Cathy all of

"Herbert O'dell Thomas, 91, of Oceana, WV, passed away on April 29, 2015 in Bowers Hospice House,
Beckley, WV. He was born on February 17, 1924 in Big Sandy, WV a son of the late Roscoe and Laura Lyle
Thomas. O'dell grew up and lived in Bartley, WV for most of his life, the last 52 years in Oceana. He was a
US Navy WWII veteran, a member of the American Legion, retired from Island Creek Coal Co. in 1986, a
member of UMWA and a member of the Rockcastle Baptist Church since 1972. In addition to his parents he
is preceded in death by two brothers Joe Bill and Todd; and a sister Opal Thomas Grygiel. Those left to
cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years Vera Lee Sheets Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Rockcastle Baptist Church,
Pineville, WV, with Pastor Donald "Doc" Adkins, Evan Arkell and Silas Mullins, Jr. officiating. He will be
laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 AM

"Vera Lee Thomas, of Oceana, WV passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on September 8th, a daughter to the late Henry Clifford and Nettie Arizona Sheets. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert O’dell Thomas and her siblings Larry, Wilma, Jerry, Henry, Jr., and Wayne. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Oceana. Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters Beverly Lois Goodwin of Kentucky, Harriet Sue Lenski of Wisconsin, and brother Pat C. Sheets of Oceana. Funeral service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, August 7th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 11am until time of service Thursday at the funeral home with Ron Acord officiating. She will be laid to rest at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
