"PRINCETON — Jessie Belle Caperton Mullins, 89, of the Princeton Health Care Center, formerly of Bluefield Avenue, Princeton and Welch, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at her residence."Born on May 20, 1918 in Hemphill, she was the daughter of the late James O. and Catherine Tuttle Caperton.
"She was a faithful member of the First Church of God in Bluefield, Welch and Princeton, where she was a member of the Adult Bible Sunday School Class. Mrs. Mullins taught primary-age Sunday School classes for many years in Bluefield and Welch churches. She was also a member of the "WCG" Women of the Church of God.
"She worked for Watson's Department Store in Welch in the 1970s for 9 years and for the Republican Committee registering voters and working election polls in McDowell County.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jess J. Mullins; two brothers, Albert and Cecil Caperton; three sisters, Mary Ingle, Iris Dillon and Edna French; two daughters-in-law, Rita Mullins and Ruth Anne Mullins; and one granddaughter, Dayle Anne Burge.
