"Joseph Melvin Blizzard is my husbands father. I am not sure who requested his headstone, but the information is incorrect and we are looking into have it corrected. I have the documentation that he was a Marine. He was a member of C Co, 1st Battalion 23rd Marines. On May 29, 1944, they set sail for Saipan. In Saipan on Jun 19th he was wounded (gunshot) in the head and returned to the US on the USS Solace. On the Navy muster roll he was listed as CPL Blizzard, Joseph M. Could you please make a note of his Military information for anyone who looks it up. Thanks
