"We celebrate the life of Leona Reedy Baker Rose, 98, of Squire, WV who went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2018. She was born in 1920 in Buchanan County, VA to the Reverend Walter Reedy and Ida Belle Dye Reedy. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a long-time member of Shop Hollow Church of the Living God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of many years, the Reverend Virgil Guy Baker and second husband, David Rose; sons, Carlos Baker and Jackie Baker; daughters, Ilene Phelps, Bernice Pennington and one daughter who died at birth; grandchildren, Jeff Baker, Kenneth Baker, Lonnie Baker and Katherine Baker Woods; two sisters and one brother."Survivors include her children, Shirley Lum of Middletown, DE; Eddie Baker and wife, Ruth of Knoxville, TN; Hershel Baker and wife, Carolyn of Iron Station, NC; Freddie Baker of Berwind, WV; Maydene Peterson and husband, Pete of Squire, WV; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Baker of Amonate, VA and Brenda Baker Monroe of Iron Station, NC; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored her.
