"ANTIOCH, Tenn. — Ival Edgar Woosley, 66, of Tusculum Road, Antioch, Tennessee, formerly of Bradshaw, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 01, 2013 at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee."Ival was born on October 31, 1946 in Whitman, West Virginia to the late Thomas W. Woosley and Helen Brewer Woosley. He had been a resident of Tennessee for the past ten years and was of the Baptist faith. He graduated from Iaeger High School in 1966 and was retired night auditor in the hotel industry.

"JEAN CAROLYN SHROUT JACK, age 77, of 76 Maple Avenue, Welch, WV, was called home to Heaven to be with the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Welch Community Hospital, with her three loving children at her side. Born November 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Roy Blake and Beatrice Lentz Shrout of Welch.
"Carolyn was a 1954 graduate of Welch High School and upon graduation, pursued a nursing degree in Richmond, VA. She later attended Concord College where she majored in English and Library Science and also met the love of her life and future husband, Bob N. Jack, at the dining house where they both ate meals while at Concord.
"Carolyn taught school throughout McDowell County at Bradshaw, Iaeger, Kimball, Keystone and finally at Welch High School until she suffered two strokes in December 1968, when she was forced to retire a few years later. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Welch where she was a member of the church choir. Through the years, Carolyn was a member and president of the Welch Junior Woman's Club and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. When her children were small, she volunteered as a story reader at the McDowell County Public Library. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
"In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Blake Shrout, Jr.
"Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Elizabeth Jack of the home and Rebecca Alison Jack Cook and husband Jeff of Hokes Bluff, AL, and one son, Bob Neil Jack, Jr. and wife Laura of Kingsport, TN, and one brother, Barry Shrout and wife Nancy of Seaford, VA. She leaves behind six grandchildren whom she adored - Robert Jeffrey Cook, Jr. and Travis Ryan Cook of Hokes Bluff, AL; Christopher Edward Jack of Peru, IN; Allison Elizabeth Jack of Kingsport, TN; Meredith Elaine Jack, a student at Auburn, AL; and Benjamin Ethan Jack, a student at Texas A&M. She leaves behind loving caregivers Virginia Diggs, Carol Hairston, Dawn Newcomb, and Sandy Hall and her devoted and supportive Hospice Compassus Staff, all deeply appreciated by her family. Additional survivors include 5 nieces and 2 nephews.
