Mildred was born February 5, 1919, in Kimball, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Mabel Adkins Organ. She had been a resident of Iaeger since 1942. She was an active member of the Iaeger United Methodist Church, having been a member of the Methodist Church since the age of twelve. She attended Kimball Elementary School, graduated from Welch High School and from Roanoke National Business College in Roanoke, VA. She was employed for many years as an accountant at McDowell Gas and Oil Company, Inc. in Iaeger. She was a former leader of the Margaret Harman Circle of the Iaeger United Methodist Church; past member of the Iaeger PTA, past president of the Iaeger Senior Woman's Club and past Worthy Matron of the Lotus Chapter #80 Order of Eastern Star. Mildred married Albert Seale Bailey of Kimball in 1937 and they were the parents of three sons, Thomas S., Sidney S. and Michael R. Bailey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Louise Davis. Survivors include three sons, Thomas S Bailey and wife Linda, and Sidney S. Bailey all of Iaeger and Michael R. Bailey of Greer, SC; 2 grandsons, Edward T. Bailey of Atlanta, GA and David L. Bailey of Myrtle Beach, SC; five step grandsons, James Bradley Goff and wife Brandi of Mineral, VA, Jason Christian of Virginia Beach, VA, William and Brendan Fisher of Dallas, TX, and Kelly Fisher of the U.S. Navy stationed in Sicily; one step granddaughter, Sherry Christian of Virginia Beach, VA; three great grandchildren, Hunter T. Bailey and Hope L.
