"Darrell was born November 12, 1940 in Mohawk, WV, a son of the late Robert (Bob) and Margaret Cline. He was a retired coal mine operator and owner. Darrell enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his golf cart up and down Bull Creek and visiting his friends at Betty's Diner. Also, he was a member of the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Mohawk. Darrell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to many.
"In addition to his parents Darrell was preceded in death by six brothers, Clyde, Jay, Rex, Harold, Wendell and Butler Cline; and two sisters, Florence Lester and Birchie Branch Reynolds.
"Those left to mourn for him are his loving wife of 57 years, Edith Cline of the home; a son, Franklin "Frankie" Ray Cline and his companion, Cathy of Mohawk, WV; a grandson, Aaron Joseph Cline of Hurley, VA; two brothers, Lawrence Cline of Panther, WV, and Gordon Cline and wife Rene of Tazewell, VA; a sister, Betty Cline and husband Eddie of Cashmere, WV, and a special sister-in-law, Naomi Cline of Mohawk, WV.
