"Randy V. Gibson, 46, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Oceana, WV passed away Sunday April 27, 2008 at his home. He was born July 18, 1961 in Beckley, WV, a son of the late Andrew H. and Kathleen Toler Gibson. Randy was a 1979 graduate of Oceana High School and attended Concord College, WV Tech and Glenville State. He enjoyed sports and hearing or reading about news from back home. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Carol, a brother Roger, three nieces Lori Hill, Stephanie Cline and Trona Gibson and a nephew Brett Gibson. "William Dink Gibson, 79, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2022 at his home. He was born March 13, 1943 in Logan County, WV to the Andrew and Kathleen Gibson. He attended Oceana High School then served in the United States Army as a radio operator. Upon returning from his military service in Korea, he was employed in the coal industry for 36 years with Peabody Coal Cooperation and Eastern Associated Coal Corp and he was a proud supporter of the UMWA. He was known for his patience, smile and generosity to others. He loved nothing more than helping others with their lawnmowers, chainsaws and weed eaters. He fixed countless motors and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working in his garage, sitting on the porch and talking with his friends and family."In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Sue Daniels Gibson, his brothers Roger Gibson and Randy Gibson, a sister Janet Gibson, sister in law Jill Gibson and brother in laws Harold Hill and Walter Reed.

"Jill Eve Dehn Gibson, 67, of Beckley, WV, originally of Cleveland, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday October 12, 2014 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on February 8, 1947 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late William Ellsworth and Margaret Violet Dehn. Jill had worked very hard later in life to achieve an accounting degree from Concord University and retired with 15 years of loyal service with the Internal Revenue Service. Jill enjoyed taking vacations with her family to the beaches of the Outer Banks. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Trona Renee Gibson. She was a member of Turkey Ridge Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 48 years Herman Paul Gibson; two children Pegge Ann Heath and her husband Christopher John Heath of Oak Hill, and Andrew William Gibson of Beckley; two grandchildren Christian Tyler Heath and Cameron Trey Heath both of Oak Hill; and a host of other loving family and friends. "Tracy Lee Bowden, 82, of Kopperston, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 18, 2026 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, following multiple cancer diagnoses & a miracle filled 3 plus year battle. He was born on August 1, 1943 in Koppers City Bottom, a son of the late Virgil and Irma Barlow Bowden. Tracy was a lifelong member of Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Audio Tech, and handyman to only mention a few. After graduating from Oceana High School in 1962, Tracy served in the United States Air Force for four years. Following his military service, Tracy worked at J.C. Hydraulics in Oceana, then in 1970 began work at Harris #1, where he retired. He was also a member of the UMWA. Anyone who knew Tracy had the pleasure of witnessing his unwavering faith and love of the Lord. His other joys in life were sharing a good story, laughter and building any and everything with his hands. He was always ready to help anyone and his handywork touched many homes and lives in the area. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Aloma J. Gibson Bowden, a daughter LaVerne Bowden Owens and husband Mike of Wilmington, NC, a son Brian Joseph Bowden and wife Rene of Bowling Green, KY, two granddaughters that he adored Payton Bowden and Hanna Bowden, a brother David Bowden and wife Joyce of Mt. Airy, MD, a sister Judy Harper and her late husband Sylvester of Oceana, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, March 28th at Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, Kopperston, WV with Pastor Scottie Lusk officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard. Tracy’s last gift was to donate his earthly body to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, in hopes of furthering research and learning. A special thank you is extended to Matthew Hopkins, Physician’s Assistant at Family Healthcare for his kindness and care throughout Tracy’s illness and to the nurses and staff at Cabell Huntington Hospital ICU for their excellence and professionalism in his final days.
