She was the last surviving member of her immediate family."In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank William "Bill" Turner; a daughter, Linda Lee Grogan; an infant son, Frank W. Turner Jr.; three sisters, Gladys A. Bingham, Audrey A. Auvil, and Kathleen A. Lester; and her only brother, Daniel L. Auvil Jr.

She was Librarian at her alma mater, laeger High School, from which she retired in 1985. She was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was also revered by her sons-in-law and her daughter-in-law, as well as all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She instilled in her children the importance of close family. She was a lady until the end, a Marine's wife, and she will be loved and missed forever.
