Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Watts and William F. Mikles; two brothers, William Bailey and Jack Bailey; also two sisters, Virginia Hodge and Beatrice Dillon; two grandsons, Jackson and Mason Pendry. "WELCH — Arthur T. Bailey, age 89, of Welch, formerly of the Rt. 20 Bluewell area, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence. Born November 9, 1919 in Mohawk, W.Va., he was the son of the late Drewey and Etta Mae Jones Bailey. He was a retired coal miner and truck driver, and a life long member of the UMWA. Spending most of his life in Davy, Arthur loved the company of family and enjoyed fishing and bluegrass music. He loved the Lord and fellowshipped at the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Gene Bailey; a grandson, Jason Hall; and three brothers and three sisters. Those left to cherish his life and memory are his wife of 67 years, Clarssia Christian Bailey of the home; four daughters, Loran (Richard) Morgan of Princeton, and Rita (Malcolm) Camp, Karen (Eugene) Hale, and Lana (David) Hall, all of Davy; a daughter-in-law, Anna Bailey; grandchildren, Gail, Sonya, Jeffrey, Michael, Gary, Brian and Kelli; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Jonathan, Robert, Ryan, Matthew, Megan, Hunter, Joshua, Michael, Kailey and Addisyn; a great-great-grandson, David; and special nephew and niece, Bobby Christian, Jr. of Sacramento, Calif. and Brenda Johnson of Richmond, Ky.Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Douglas Mortuary chapel in Welch with the Reverend Thurman Belcher officiating.
