"Eli Edward Mullins 1906 - 1948. Killed Aug 6, 1948 when he and others finished their shift, he was being trasported to the elevator shaft at the Caples, WV mines (Near Welch, W.Va). The roof gave way crushing my dad and 5 others and injurying many. His death certificate, his last born son Hobert and his granddaugher Sharon.
