"CYCLONE — Danny Dale Walls, 66, formerly of Cyclone, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 13, 2011, after a long illness."Born February 8, 1945, in Verner, he was the son of the late Lee and Orpha Browning Walls.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Sue Walls; a daughter, Angela Walls Pelfrey; a sister, Betty Woolum, a brother, Cecil Ardell Walls, two half sisters, Hazel Morgan and Opal Lester.
"Danny was a graduate of Baileysville High School, a retired coal miner, enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading his Bible. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
"Those left to cherish his memory are three sons, Danny Walls Jr. of Lynco, Brad Walls and wife, Kathy, of Glen Fork and Adrian Griffith of Glen Fork; a daughter, Amanda Tilley and her husband, John, of Sabine; a sister, Florence Cline of Charleston, four brothers, Lowell Walls of Christian, Arley Walls and wife, Audarene, of Oceana, Jimmy Walls and wife, Frankie, of Beckley and Darrell Walls of Lynco; nine grandchildren, Erin Palmer, Jessica Pelfrey, Mary Penney, Danny Walls, Sheena Griffith, Tara Griggs, Kassi Jeffrey, Joni Sizemore and John Tilley, Jr.; fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Born April 13, 1919 in Wyoming County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Albert Cline and Judah Blankenship Cline. She was a resident of Bluefield since September 1998, residing the greater part of her life in Roderfield. She was a member of the Big Sandy Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Shannon in 1997; one son, Wendell Shannon; two brothers, Connie Cline and James Wannie Cline; one half brother, Rhannis Cline; four sisters, Mary Cline Spratt, Janice Cline Toler, Athleen and Kathleen Cline; and two half sisters, Helen Cline Moore and Corrine Cline. Survivors include three half brothers, Tommy Cline of Verner, W.Va., Albert Cline, Jr. of Robinette, W.Va., and Larry David Cline of Bramwell, W.Va.; two half sisters, Josephine Blankenship of Statesville, N.C. and Zelda Justice of Justice, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Heather Shannon of Columbus, Ohio.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:00 noon January 15, 2010 from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch.
