"Opal McKinley Perry, 91 of Gilbert, departed this life on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
"Born on January 2, 1920 at Justice, he was the son of the late McKinley and Merlie Balnkenship Perry.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita Clara Canterbury Perry; two daughters: Sharon Perry and Infant Perry; one son, Kenny Shane Perry; one granddaughter, Amelia Maynor; one brother, Hoover Perry, two sisters: Hazel Lester and Elvie Fortner; and best friend, Zionel Walker.
"Opal was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was of the Baptist faith and was owner and operator of O M Perry Sand and Gravel Company and did construction and asphalting. He loved working and just being outside. He loved speinding time with his wonderful family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his passing include his four sons: Michael (Mitzi) Perry, Zane (Gail) Perry and Lane Perry, all of Gilbert and Gregory Perry of Verner; his three sisters: Macy Wallace of Justice, Nancy Riffe of North Spring, and Dolly Adkins of Huntington; his brother, Lyle (Cora) Perry of Statesville NC; his three grandsons: Michael Browning, Justin Townson, and Josh Allen; his nine granddaughters: Katrina Perry, Kristi Dotson, Tara Davis, Libby Christian, Kelly Sprague, France Cline, Nicole Townson, Crystal Townson, and Jonnah Browning; his ten great-grandsons: Dominic Cline, Buran Maynor, Tommy Queen, Zacary Airington, Kyle Perry, Eric Dotson, Logan Davis, Ethan Michael Price, Samuel Townson and Dawson Ball; his nine great-granddaughters: Angel Cline, Rebekah Sprague, Hannah Sprague, Brookie Mounts, Kayla May, Gracie Davis, Katelynn Townson, Dakota Ball, and Madisyn Cline; his great-great-grandchild, Camron Grace; and a host of other dear family and friends.
"Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Sunday, March 6th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
"Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 7th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Turner and speaker Michael Perry officiating.
