"Judge Alex Morgan, 55 of North Spring, departed this life on Monday, March 7th at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.
"Born on August 5, 1955 at Detroit Michigan, he was the son of the late Alex Ted “AR” and Angeline Huff Morgan.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Gay Toler.
"Judge was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a disabled coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. His greatest joy came from spending time with his wonderful family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his passing include his daughter, Allison (Chris) Wells of Baisden; his son, Alex Ray Morgan of North Spring; the joy of his life, his two granddaughters: Chasity Morgan and Keisha Carter, both of Baisden; his two brothers: Ernest Ray (Angie) Morgan and Jeffery Glen (Katrinia) Morgan both of Ned’s Branch section of Gilbert; his four sisters: Sandra (Bill) Simon of South Charleston, Davonda Kay (Lloyd) Cline of Foundation Fork of Simon, Tamra (Joey) Holzapfel of North Spring, and Brenda (Mark) Stanley of Ben Creek; and a host of nieces, nephews, other dear family, and friends.
"Friends may gather with the family at the Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church at Sprattsville on Friday, March 11th after 6:00 pm.
"Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 12th at the Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark D. Stanley officiating.
"Burial will follow in the Morgan Huff Cemetery at the Ned’s Branch section of Gilbert...."
