"Born December 12, 1938, in Nyota, Alabama she was the daughter of the late Ernest Walker Sr., and Nellie Maude Walker.
"Mrs. Linkous was a homemaker, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Matheny United Methodist Church and dearly loved by all her family and friends.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Phillip Walker.
"Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Linkous, Sr., of Fairdale; a son, James Linkous, Jr., and wife, Pamela of Fairdale; a daughter, Teresa Graham and husband, James "Frank" of Beckley; three granddaughters, Sabrina Linkous Jenkins and husband, Ronnie, Jr., of Fairdale, Salena Stone Morgan and husband, Chris of Boltand Amanda Linkous Quesenberry and husband, James II, of Fairdale; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Justice, Dalton Jenkins, Alexa Quesenberry, Bryse Jenkins and Raylan Quesenberry; three sisters, Collette Filyaw of Remlap, Alabama, Ruby Sheridan and husband, Sterling of Dallas, Alabama and Diana Stewart and husband, Jack of Oceana; a brother, Colen Walker of Remlap, Alabama; her best friend, Cora Stewart of Matheny; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
