"SIMON-Edward "Moose" Chambers 69, departed this life September 24, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving family following a long illness."Born January 16, 1941, in Clear Fork he was the son of the late Dewey and Stella Blankenship Chambers.
"Moose was a retired coal miner having worked for Island Creek Coal Co., and Console Energy Coal Co.; also worked for Rockwell Seating Division of Illinois; then worked for several other companies; and was a member of U.M.W.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with family and friends.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Jane Chambers Cline; nine brothers, Roy, Troy, Lonnie, Connie, Joseph Walter, Don Fulton, Franklin Pierce, Dewey Jr., and Johnny Lee Chambers; several half brothers and sisters; and step-mother, Zettie Shook Chambers.
"Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Donna S. Chambers of Simon; two daughters, Jennifer Chambers at home and Janice Brown of Lilly Dale; a nephew who he thought of as a son, David Walls and wife, Melissa of Crouches Farm; two brothers, Homer Chambers of Princeton and C.C. "Donna Sue Walls Chambers, 73, of Simon, WV passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Bowers
Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on April 9, 1942 in Uno, WV a daughter of the late Oma Wilburn
and Macy Blankenship Walls. Donna attended the Reedy Creek Free Will Baptist Church and was a 1959
graduate of Baileysville High School. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in
death by her husband Edward Warl "Moose" Chambers; five brothers Harold, Clifford, Gene, Dale and Ron
Walls. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter Jennifer Lynn Chambers of Simon; a
brother Roger Walls and wife Lois of Brenton; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and
friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Stafford

"OCEANA — William Conley Dean, 80, of Oceana, passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, in CAMC Memorial Division."Born Nov. 22, 1929, at Glen Morrison, he was the son of the late William Lee and Mary Cemantha Hart Dean.
"Conley was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Oceana. He was a member of Local Union 7604 and a life-long member of the U.M.W.A. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and enjoyed sports especially auto racing. He loved to listen to country and gospel music. Conley was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and served as District V.F.W. Commander. He was awarded the Purple Heart while serving in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.
"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Conley Dewayne Dean, and a daughter, Teresa Dean Jeffrey.
"Survivors include his wife of 59 1/2 years, Daphine Toler Dean; two sons, Roger Dean and his wife, Deborah, of Webster Springs and Eddie Dean and his wife, Teena, of Oceana; two daughters, Reneé Nichols and her husband, Barry, of Fort Knox, Ky., and Cemantha Mayhorn and her husband, Keith, of Lexington, N.C.; and nine grandchildren, Jamie Dean, Aurelius Jeffrey, Sarah Dean, Aaron Nichols, Stephanie Mayhorn, Andra Nichols, Justin Mayhorn, Ryan Jeffrey and Jasmine Mayhorn.
