"Edgel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a school bus driver for Wyoming County Board of Education, and a member of the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church at Hanover. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Those left to love and cherish the memory of Edgel are: his son, Michael (Robin Owens and Daniel Owens) Blankenship of Hanover; his grandson, Tyler Blankenship of Hanover; his brothers and sisters: Cecil (Anita) Blankenship of Baileysville, Thurman (Barbara) Blankenship and Estil (Margaret) Blankenship both of Bassett VA, Marie Dotson and Hazel (Fred) Cline both of Austinville VA, Lou Emma (Doug) Peck of Piney VA, and Thelma Fergerson of Martinsville VA; and a host of other dear family and friends.

"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ruth Browning; nine sisters: Hettie, Zettie, and Esre Browning, Mamie Fortner, Mona Walls, Eddie Hollingshed, Icy Pearl Blevins, Cordie Lee Walls, and Vernie Mitchell; and four brothers: Frank, Theodore, William “Willie”, and Homer Browning.
"Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a laborer for the department of highways, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
