"Clinton "Bill" Carter, 78, of Jesse, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday October 20, 2018 in
Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV following a sudden illness. He was born on December 23, 1939 in
Uno, WV a son of the late Garland Bud and Stella Florence Brinegar Carter. Bill was a janitor for the
Wyoming County Board of Education for 31 years. After retiring Bill enjoyed spending time with his dog
Wolfie. When able he liked to play bingo and yard sale. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by
a sister Helen Workman; and three brothers Arley "Buddy" Carter, Roger Carter and Roy Lee Carter.
Survivors include four sisters Bobbie Perry of Cyclone, Carol (Gordon) Mudgett of Moab, UT, Janice
(Everett) Jesse of Bud and Dorothy Brooks of Beckley; two brothers Danny (Darlene) Carter and Eddie
(Wanda) Carter all of Glen Fork; his aunt Mary Brinegar of Pineville; special friends Leroy Thompson,
Carrell Brook and Doug Cline; his faithful companion Wolfie; many nieces, nephews and a host of other
loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Friday October 26th in the Chapel of
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Ricky Proffitt officiating. He will be laid to rest in Cline
Family Cemetery, Barn Hollow Road, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8PM on Thursday
October 25th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the
Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
