"BRENTON - Raymond Morgan, 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Sunbridge Nursing Home, Lexington, N.C., following a long illness."Born Aug. 24, 1929, in Brenton, he was the son of the late Lunda "Lundy" Morgan (1904-1965) and Frankie Elswick-Morgan (1905-Deceased); and his late wife, Corba Adkins-Morgan (1935-1967) whom he married on June 21, 1952 in Keyrock, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1952, Page 76, Application Date: June 19, 1952).
"Mr. Morgan attended Brenton Church of God. He worked with Norfolk Southern Railroad in the Maintenance Department and was a resident of Wyoming County all his life.
"He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Morgan-Knopp (Deceased).
