"Born at Tamcliffe on August 11, 1920, he was the son of the late Ott and Allie Hatfield Cline.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Linden Cline and one sister, Maxine Stepp.
"Quentin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved building things and built or helped build many of the churches, banks, the old Gilbert High School (now the Grade School) and private residences in this area. He loved football and spending time with his family and friends. He had worked in the mining industry but his life work was as a building contractor. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Those left to love and cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 68 years, Violet Weaver Cline of Hampden; his four loving daughters: Patricia (Doug) Browning of Oakland TN, Connie (Johnny) Wiley of Gilbert, Deborah Lout of Huffman TX, and Peggy (Terry) Marshall of Lexington KY; his brother, Samuel Cline of Aiken SC; his sister Delilah Ellis of Gilbert; his eight wonderful grandchildren: Angela (Tim) Snyder, Annette (Kevin) Williams, Kimberly (Robert) Woodruff, John Quentin and Courtney Wiley, Jason Yates, Stephanie (Jon) Bridges, and Terence Marshall; his seven precious great grandchildren: Garrett, Austin, Presley, and Brody Williams, Jordan and Kyle Snyder, and Tyler Woodruff; and a host of other dear family and friends.
