"Georgia Irene Walls Morgan Miller, 81 of North Spring, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her loved ones waiting for her in heaven, on Sunday, February 14, 2010, from Welch Community Hospital.
"Born at Verner on January 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Lula Hester Walls.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson Preston Morgan; three infant sons: Stanley, Faron, and Shelton Morgan; one sister, Eunice Walker; four brothers: Harlan, Arden, Clinton, and Clayton Walls; and two half brothers: Travis and Thomas Walls.
"Georgia was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker and a member of the Justice Church of God at Justice.
"Those left to love and cherish her memory are: her loving husband, Paul E. Miller of North Spring; her loving daughter, Sharon Cook of Premier Mountain; her five wonderful sons: Bennett Morgan of Gilbert, Nelson (Sue) Morgan of High Point NC, Densel (Karen) Morgan of North Welch, Lanny (Julie) Morgan of High Point NC, and Vincent (Conda) Morgan of Archdale NC; her three sisters: Gertrude Cline of Hanover, Zola New of Coal Mountain, and Mavis Walls of Lancaster OH; her two brothers: Dallas Walls of Gilbert and Rodney Walls of Hanover; her four half sisters: Charlotte Maynard of Coal Mountain, Clara Bell Cline of Simon, Macie Toler of Maben, and Deborah Browning of Ikes Fork; her three half brothers: Mayford Walls of Gilbert and Jarvis and Dwayne Walls both of North Spring; her 15 grandchildren; her 17 great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

"William (Bill) Harmon, World war veteran, brother of French Harmon of War, and Mrs, Clara Perry
of Vivian, died in a Veterans hospital in Roanoke, VA., of an acute heart attack following pneumonia.
"Mr. Harmon was a widely known farmer of Raven Nest branch, nead Cedar Bluff, Va. He was born in Tazewell county, a son of Kiah and Annie Fuller Harmon. On September 17 1919, he married Miss Ella Asbury. To this union were born three children, Clara, Merlin and Dovie, all of whow with his
widow, survive.
"He also leaves the following brothers and sisters in addition to the above named: Ritz Harmon of Dry Fork; Robert Harmon, of Williamson; Mrs. Nannie Neal, of Bishop, Va.,and Mrs. Sarah Lawson, of
Portsmouth, O.
"Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Elswick, Wed. afternoon at the home of Billy
Asbury, near Cedar Bluff. Interment followed in the Ratliff cemetery."

"Born on December 22, 1919, to the late Richard and Samantha Vance of Iaeger, West Virginia, she made her home in Gilbert until moving to Florida in 1964.
"In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Harold Buchanan; a special grandson, Bradley Iaeger Browning; four brothers: baby John, Elmer, Ernest, and Raymond Vance; five sisters: Baby Cleo Vance, Stella Stafford, Sarah Blanche Vance, Birchie McDermott, and Hazel Turner.
"Helen was the last surviving charter member of the First Baptist Church in Gilbert. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach, devoting her life to working with the children in the Sunday School Department until she began loosing her eyesight in her later years. She had been an employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Gilbert and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Lake Worth, FL.
"She is survived by her son Donald (Gayle) Buchanan of Berea KY; her two daughters: Anita (Tome) Lovelace of Clifton VA and Mary Ann Buchanan of Vero Beach FL; her wonderful grandchildren: Rosemary (Kevin) Briggs of Lexington KY, Scott (Courtney) Buchanan of Berea KY, and Beth (Michael) Baron of Virginia; her precious great grandchildren: Conner and Hunter Buchanan, Brian Briggs, and Victoria Baron; her sister, Thelma Allen of Adrian Michigan; her brother, Eugene Vance of Princeton WV; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved “Aunt Helen” as she did them. Helen saw the world in Technicolor and everyone that knew her will remember her kindness and her sweet voice, especially the children.
