"Born April 1, 1947, at Welch, he was the son of the late Robert D. Bailey Jr. and Jean Hickman Bailey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his aunts Virginia (Doe) Carr and Frances Bailey Groff.
"Bailey was a life-long resident of Pineville and was the former owner of Wyoming Broadcasting Company and Wyoming Cable Television. He was an avid reader and an accomplished musician having played in numerous local and regional bands throughout his life.
"He is survived by his wife, Christy C. Bailey of Pineville, daughter Angela Sue Bailey Osborne and her husband Jeff of Salisbury, NC, sons Robert D. Bailey, IV and his wife, Tanya of Pineville and Micah Alexander Bailey and his fiancé, Lora Miller of Beckley and three grandchildren, Jordan Bailey Osborne, Brendan David Mullins and Hailey Michelle Hurd.
