Her last five years were spent at the McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gary. Dorothy was a home maker and devoted her life working and taking care of children in numerous homes.
"Dorothy was the daughter of the late Noah and Mary Francis Collins Roberts of Panther. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Halsey Roberts and Adam Roberts and five sisters, Maggie Kennedy, Mabel Roberts, Vernie Steele, Elois Roberts and Eleanor Donithan.
"Left to cherish her memory is her last surviving sibling, Bernice Phillips of Iaeger, WV. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
"Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Scott Long on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 1 o’clock at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery in Cub Creek near Panther, WV. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her nephews. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.
