"Mrs. Susie Ada Parks, 81, of Maybeury , died Wednesday night in a Princeton hospital after a long illness. Born at Marion, Va., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Emeline Garnes Ford.
She attended the Church of God at Maybeury. At the time of her death, she had made her home with a daughter. Mrs. Everett i lassie i Jarrett of Maybeury. Additional survivors include three other daughters, Mrs. Paul (Louise) Mullis of McDowell, Mrs. Hassie (Nellie Elizabeth) Meade of Lebanon, Va., and Mrs. Wazzinia Gorskey of Eckman; six sons, Hughie and Alfred Parks, both of Maybeury, Harvey Parks of Nokesville, Va., Frank Parks of Izirgo, Fla., Melvin Parks of Astoria, Ohio, and Lester Parks of Martinsville, Va.; 39 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren ; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Church of God at Maybeury with Rev. Harold Simpson and Rev. Frank Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Blue well. The body will be taken from Bennett-Fanning Funeral Home in Northfork to the church one hour prior to services. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers."
