"Born on Nov. 22, 1946 in Bluefield, he was a son of Freda Idell Alley Rose of Big Branch, Va. and the late Bandy Rose. He had lived in Pipestem for the past three years and was a truck driver. He was a former State Trooper and coal miner. He was a veteran Viet Nam having served in the U.S. Army.

"Funeral services for Henry Ellis Neal, 88, of North Augusta, SC will be held five p.m., Monday, July 1, 2013 at Heights Church, 4631A Jefferson Davis Highway, Beech Island, SC with the Rev. Dexter Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. A graveside service will be held one-thirty p.m., Tuesday, July 2nd, at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, West Virginia. Pallbearers will be Brian Burr, Jesse Cato, Ronnie Mills, Cecil Neal, Darrell Neal, James Neal, Joseph Neal and Donnie Ussery. Mr. Neal passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013."Born in Premier, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Cecil Gilbert Neal and Zulla Dillon Neal Duncan and was married to the late Mandy Elizabeth Simpson Neal. Mr. Neal worked as a coal miner in West Virginia until his retirement.
