"Earl Earnest Blankenship, 79, of Thorpe WV, crossed the finish line on earth to his eternal heavenly home where he will be joined with his mother and father, Julius and Mandy Mullins Blankenship, his first wife Eva Gay, daughter Millie Kay, brother, Herman and sister Helen; on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his residence, following a long illness.
Earl loved the W.V. Mountaineers, win or lose. He really loved Elvis movies and his Gospel Music. He enjoyed collecting old model cars, especially his 1952 Hudson Hornet. He enjoyed being with his Grandchildren and Family.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Deanna Terry Blankenship, daughters, Marlene Smith Earlene Slone(Tracy), Jerri Frye (Berry), Rhonda Blankenship, Karen Corder (Terry) and Jamie Sturgell (Kevin), Son Mikel D Blankenship, granddaughters, Melissa Basenback, Brandy Smith, Holly Tanner, Rebecca Slone, Stephane Collins, Jessica Padgett, Courtney Tomblin and Carnetta Hopkins. grandsons; Joshua Smith, Kyle Estep, Nathan Corder, Blane and Levi Sturgell; great grandchildren, Allie Estep, Kendra Colton, Isabella Basenback, Tori, David and Joshua Tanner, Chelsea Hopkins, Monika and Jordan Slone, Joseph Dye, Wade Tomlin, Emily and Jordan Padgett; brothers, Bobby and Glen Blankenship; sisters, Shelby Cox and Carol Lester.
