According to my Dad's Aunt Rebecca Ford (George), Adam Harmon disappeared after a visit to see my Grandmother Ellen. I do have a copy of their marriage license which shows they were married at the time of my Dad's birth. My Dad had no knowledge of Adam Harmon or the marriage until he found the marriage license after Ellen's death so you can imagine the shock of knowing he was a legal birth instead of being born to an unmarried Ellen as he was led to believe all his life. "Your web shows info for my Dad as being married to Geneva V....they were divorced (don't know date) and he married my Mother, Audrey Richardson on October 17, 1942 (recorded in Marriage Book No 35 page 66 Mingo Co WV. She was actually 17 years old at the marriage instead of the 20 as stated on the marriage license. Audrey was born at Davy, WV on Dec. 6, 1925 to James S. Richardson and Cosby Lowe Richardson. She died in Crystal River, Fl on August 25, 1993.
