"Harold served in the Army in occupied Germany from 1952-1960. He was a member of the Barnes-Beavers V.F.W. and a member of the American Legion at Grundy, Va. He was retired from Jewell Smokeless Coal Company and for the past 7 years, was employed by the Atlantic Group as a Nuclear Coatings Technician. Harold was a man of faith and a member of the Ivy Springs Baptist Church. He placed his Lord and Savior, family and friends first in his life. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, music and was a band member of the groups Kings Harbor Band, the Poor Valley Drifters and Caiged Angel. He had a multitude of friends and loved each and everyone and always welcomed them with a loving smile and a warm heartfelt hug.
